Vinmec hospital achieves country's first JCI accreditation

13-01-2018

"With the JCI accreditation, Vinmec will become a trusted health care facility for both Vietnamese people and foreigners living in Viet Nam," said vice minister of health Nguyen Thi Xuyen.

In setting the goal of achieving JCI accreditation, Vinmec focused on activities related to enhancing patient safety, healthcare quality and the quality management system and applied a patient-centric approach in all hospital operations from 2013 onwards.

Two years later, the hospital met all the JCI requirements.

JCI awards one of the highest standards in health care, with 285 standards and 1,116 measurable elements recognised in 90 countries. To date, some 800 medical facilities in 60 countries have received JCI accreditation. — VNS
